Bridgeport Women Arrested on Shoplifting Charges

The women are suspects in larcenies from other stores as well.

The Westport Police Department arrested two Bridgeport women Wednesday after receiving a report of shoplifters at a children's clothing store on Main Street.

Patrol officers and detectives located  Ronjel R. Willis, 27, and Lisa A. Samuels, 31, on Post Road East a short distance from the store. 

An investigation at the scene resulted in police recovering the stolen items as well as purses specially altered to conceal the stolen goods.

Westport Police were advised by the store's loss prevention department that both subjects are suspects in larcenies from their stores located in other towns across Connecticut.  

Willis and Samuels were arrested on charges of larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny and possession of a shoplifting device.

Their bonds were set at $10,000 and they are scheduled to appear in court Aug. 20.
