Brooklyn Woman Arrested for Possession of Marijuana

Chantelle White, 21, of Brooklyn, NY was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana on Tuesday, June 28. According to police, White was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped on I-95 southbound between Exits 18 and 17 for a motor vehicle violation. Police said when the officer approached the vehicle, he detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the passenger compartment. He subsequently located paraphernalia commonly used to smoke marijuana, which led to locating marijuana in White’s purse. White signed the misdemeanor summons at the scene as a promise to appear in court on July 8.
