Greenwich Crash Leads to DWI Arrest for Westport Man

The man was charged with driving while intoxicated on Jan. 7 following a two-car accident.

A two-car crash early Saturday lead to the arrest of a Westport man on a driving while intoxicated charge.

According to Greenwich Police, there was a two-car crash shortly before 12:30 a.m. Jan. 7 in the 1200 block of East Putnam Avenue, near the Exit 5 interchange of I-95. One of the drivers, identified as Juan A. Lebrija, failed field sobriety tests and was charged with driving while intoxicated and following too close. The police report did not indicate whether anyone was injured.

Lebrija, 42, who gave an address of 21 Turkey Hill Rd. North, Westport, was released after posting $250 bond. He was scheduled to appear Jan. 23 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
