Woman allegedly stole from stores in Westport while with her children

The following arrest information was provided by the Westport Police Department. It does not indicate convictions.

Sarina Clark, 34, of Norwalk was arrested and charged with sixth degree larceny, fourth degree larceny and risk of injury to children on Friday, July 22, after she was allegedly caught shoplifting from several stores in Westport.

Police said they received a call from employees at Anthropology, 1365 Post Road East, who reported that a woman, later determined to be Clark, had set off the anti-theft sensors at the exit door as she was leaving. Store employees told police they tried to confront the woman, but she entered her car and left. Store employees gave police a description of the woman and the car. The employees also informed police that the woman had been in the store with two young children.
