Police Blotter: Southbury Man Arrested for Public Indecency

A 56-year-old man was seen exposing himself in front of Greens Farms Academy, according to police.

Leonard Stanziale of Southbury was arrested Monday on charges of public indecency and possessing drugs within 1,500 feet of Greens Farms Academy.

According to police, Stanziale, 56, was reported exposing himself on Beachside Avenue. Officers located him directly across the street from the private K-12 school. The person who called in the report returned to the scene and identified Stanziale as the man he observed exposing himself, according to the report.

Stanziale's rented car was located at the nearby Burying Hill Beach and was found to contain narcotics and drug paraphernalia. According to an article in the News Times, police found powder and rock cocaine in Stanziale's vehicle.

The News Times also reported that Stanziale has an "extensive record of indecent exposures, larcenies, drug possession and breach of peace arrests."

Stanziale was arrested on charges of public indecency, trespassing, public disturbance, narcotics possession within 1,500 feet of a school and drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $50,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 11.

Here are the latest crime reports obtained from the Westport Police Department from Jan. 25 to Feb. 3:

 

  • Matthew Packer, 25, of New York, NY, was arrested Tuesday on charges of second-degree manslaughter with a vehicle and driving under the influence of alcohol. Click here for the full story. His bond was set at $250,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 17.
  • Matthew Decredico, 23, of Norwalk was arrested Tuesday on charges of credit card theft and larceny. The charges stem from credit card thefts from the lockers at the YMCA last September. His bond was set at $5,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 12.
  • Charles Vosgueritchian, 30, of Westport was arrested Jan. 29 on a charge of violating his probation. He turned himself in to police after learning a warrant was out for his arrest, according to the report. A $1,000 bond was set for him and he is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 8.
  • Brendon Davidson, 25, was arrested Jan. 29 on a charge of violating his probation. His bond was set at $10,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 10.
  • Michael Luchor, 46, of Westport was arrested Jan. 26 on charges of burglary, larceny and criminal mischief. According to the police report, Luchor was served his arrest warrant in court where Luchor was in-custody on other charges. The warrant stems from a December 2009 burglary of a residence on Turkey Hill Road North. Stolen in that burglary was about $4,000  worth of silverware. An investigation showed that Luchor had pawned the stolen silverware. Luchor had been arrested by Fairfield police for a similar burglary and was being held on those charges, according to the report. His bond was set at $25,000 and he is currently in police custody.
