Westport Police Recover Stolen Vehicle
The vehicle was reportedly stolen out of Bridgeport Saturday morning.
Westport Police Officer Casimiro was in the right place at the right time Saturday morning.
Casimiro was on patrol when he saw a vehicle traveling on Post Road East that matched the description of a stolen vehicle. Bridgeport Police had put out a description of that vehicle at 9:37 a.m. on March 8, after it was reported stolen from the city.
Westport Police said Casimiro stopped the vehicle and took the operator into custody without incident. Bridgeport Police responded to the scene to take custody of the vehicle and the suspect, identified as Yannick Williams, of New Haven.
