Anderson Concedes

Before the official results were announced, Gavin Anderson and his running mate Kristin LaFleur arrived at the Democratic Headquarters to congratulate incumbent First Selectman Gordon Joseloff and Shelly Kassen.

"Look, we are all Westporters in this room," Anderson said to the crowd after congratulating the incumbent team. "If there is one thing that came out of this election it's that Gordon and Shelly and Kristin and I raised the quality of debate.... I respect them so much for a fair win and a good win."

Joseloff thanked Anderson.

"Westport in this case is the winner," Joseloff said. "I'm thrilled with the votes and I'm thrilled for a strong addition to the Board of Selectmen."

Anderson will serve as Third Selectman.
