Tickets used by guests of residents to park at Compo.

The cost of ticket books for parking at Compo Beach will be 15 percent less next season.

A book of ten tickets for weekdays will be $170, and for weekends $340.

The decision to lower the cost was approved Wednesday by the Board of Selectman after it was proposed by Dan Devito, operations supervisor for Recreation and Parks.

Residents give the tickets to guests to enable them to park at the beach. A beach sticker or ticket is required to park there between May 1 and Sept. 30.

Ticket books are only valid for one season and are not refundable.
