It's Not to Late to Register to Vote in Westport!

For the first time in state history voters will be able to register and vote on Election Day.

The Nov. 5 municipal election will be the first in Connecticut history in which voters who have not previously registered to vote can both register and vote on Election Day, according to Westport Registrars of Voters Kevin White and Marla Cowden.

Westport’s Election Day registration location will be in the Town Hall Auditorium, 110 Myrtle Ave., and will be open from 6 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Residents registering and voting will need to provide proof of both identity and residency. Proof of identity includes, but is not limited to: driver’s license, birth certificate, social security, college photo ID, oath of another elector or proof satisfactory to registrars, according to a release from the Registrar’s office.  

Proof of residence must show the current Westport address and includes, but is not limited to: current DMV issued identification including licenses, utility bill due within 30 days post-election, current college registration or fee statement, lease, library card, paycheck or bank statement, property tax bill, naturalization documents, passport, according to the release.
