Stephen Rubin for 136th District Representative - Sound Judgement and Dedication
A letter to the editor from Westport resident Hank Obst.
I would like to recommend Stephen Rubin for State Representative for
the 136th District. For 30 years, Stephen had a successful career in
the medical and surgical industry. Meeting budgets and payrolls,
dealing with escalating costs and developing expansion plans, enables
him to appreciate what businesses need to be successful. He has been
a member of the RTM for 20 years and works tirelessly for the
residents of Westport. As a Justice of the Peace, member of the
Westport Police Departments Citizens Police Academy and active member
of numerous other civic boards and committees Stephen knows how to
work with various groups and accomplish goals for this community.
Stephen is an energetic member of Al's Angels, a charity that
aids sick children and their families throughout Fairfield County and
the tri-state area. Whether it is fundraising, filling thousands of
baskets at holiday time or delivering these to hospitals, Stephen is
there with his sleeves rolled up working and helping us all to stay
motivated. He is a member of the board of trustees of the Police
Athletic League, a past member of the host committee for the State of
Connecticut Special Olympics and serves on numerous other civic and
charitable committees.

Stephen takes an active role to make a positive difference for
the people of Westport. With his experience in private industry and
his work with civic and charitable organizations, Stephen knows how
to meet commitments and be fiscally responsible. Combine these
skills with a proven record of accomplishment working with fellow
Republicans and Democrats and you find yourself with a unique
individual who will be a great steward of our state’s resources.
I have known Stephen for many years and have never met anyone
more dedicated to civic service and helping people. Please vote for
Stephen Rubin on November 6th. You will then be taking an active
role in making our state the best choice for families and businesses.
