STAPLES HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 1981 CELEBRATING 30 YEARS!
JULY 29-31, 2011

The Planning Committee for the Staples High School Class of 1981 is pleased to announce that it has finalized plans forits 30th Reunion. The reunion will be held the weekend of July 29th - 31st.  Several events have been scheduled, the highlight of which will be a Clambake at Staples High School on Saturday night, July 30th.

Being back at Staples will be strange and somewhat confusing for most members of the class 1981, though several classmates do still live in town and some have even sent their children to Staples.  On the day the class of '81 arrived in the fall of 1978 ground was broken on the new "modernization" project; a few days before graduation in 1981 the ribbon was cut celebrating what would be called the "new" Staples High School for the next 10 years.

The Clambake, which will be held in the foyer outside the auditorium and the new courtyard (the former bus drop off area), will be catered by Szabo's Seafood;  music will be provided by Kink Slip, a local band led by Staples grads John Lamb & Paula Gallo.  Other events include a Friday morning golf outing at Longshore Country Club; a Friday night gathering at the Black Duck; a tour of the "new" Staples High School; and a Sunday Family beach outing with Softball (bring your own picnic).  Early-bird discount registration will be open until June 1st;  regular registration will be open until July 15th.  Please visit www.staples1981.com <http://www.staples1981.com/> to register or contact Aleda Santos Warren at 203-856-0954.
