The Roof Rack Report

On September 6, devoted dog owner, Westport News columnist and Beagle Man blogger Hank Herman– who happens to actually be pretty politically naïve – will hit the road with his 9-year-old beagle (Ricky) on a 15-city tour from Connecticut to California to find out what Americans really think about presidential candidates Mitt Romney and Barack Obama.

Always the humorist, Hank and Ricky (who live in Westport) will give readers an irreverent take on American politics through the ‘beagle’s-eye-view’ with what they’re coining “The Roof Rack Report,” which is a playful jab at Mitt Romney’s much-maligned strapping of his dog Seamus to the top of his car. The traveling duo will provide much needed comic relief to Election 2012, and talk to voters about pressing economic, fiscal and social issues facing the country.
