'Train Like a Fighter' Leukemia, Haiti Fundraiser

Calasanz Martial Arts & Fitness Center will host a "Charity Day" to benefit The Leukemia/Lymphoma Society's Connecticut Chapter and also Haiti relief through the American Red Cross beginning at 9am Saturday, June 5.

Volunteers are needed to raise pledges for the event, which includes:

• 9am-11am: "Train Like a Fighter" for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will draw participants with pledges of at least $100 for the "fighters workout" in honor of those fighting blood cancers; and
• 11am – on: Seminars on martial arts and fitness, plus boxing, kickboxing and Jujitsu fights.

The cost is $20 at the door for all events scheduled. Calasanz Martial Arts & Fitness Center is located at 507 Westport Ave. in Norwalk.
