Cheryl Scott-Daniels, Neighbor

Cheryl Scott-Daniels is the Broker/Owner of ERA Select Homes in Westport and was named the 2010 CT State REALTOR® of the Year. Cheryl started her real estate career in 1988 and obtained her broker&#39;s license in 1990. She was licensed as an Appraiser for 18 years and is a Notary Public. She holds ABR, ASP, CDPE, CRB, CRP, CRS, GRI, PSCS, and SRES designations, has a Master of Business Administration degree in marketing, and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. She was a Vice President of Marketing at both Revlon and Max Factor prior to entering the real estate business. <br><br>Cheryl was the 2010 Treasurer of the Connecticut Association of Realtors and has served on the CAR Board of Directors since 1997, holding several positions including Treasurer, Vice President of Communications, Chairman of the Finance Committee, Vice-Chair and Chairperson of both the Professional Standards and Risk Reduction Committees and member of the Executive Committee. She possesses a strong mix of both professional credentials and expertise mixed with community service. She blogs and podcasts about issues in the real estate industry, regularly.

 At the local level she has been Chairperson of the Professional Standards Committee for the Mid-Fairfield County Association of REALTORS® (MFCAR) since 1994, served on the Board of Directors and served on several other MFCAR committees, as well. She served as the 1994 President of the Connecticut Certified Residential Specialists and President of the Fairfield County Women&#39;s Council of REALTORS® in 1993. The Mid-Fairfield County Association of REALTORS^® elected her as REALTOR^® of the Year in 1993, 2002 and 2006. Scott-Daniels is Chairperson of the Greater Fairfield County CMLS and has served on its board since 1997. She is recipient of The Westport Sunrise Rotary Club 2003 Paul Harris Fellowship Award, and the 2002 Westport Chamber of Commerce Athena Award for community service and business leadership. <br><br>She was a member of the CAR President&#39;s Advisory Committee that developed the policy for professional Buyer Agency, which was adopted by the CT Real Estate Commission.  At the national level, she served on the National Association of REALTORS^® (NAR) 2007 Risk Reduction Committee and a special 2007 Sub-Committee which developed a NAR real estate internet policy. She also served NAR in other capacities over a several year period. <br><br>Scott-Daniels was a member of the Board of Directors of A Better Chance of Westport, Inc, where she served as Facility Chairperson for ten years.  She currently serves as a member of their Student Selection Committee. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Earthplace, The Nature Discovery Center in Westport and was their Marketing Vice-President. She also was President of the Westport Sunrise Rotary Club, subsequently co-chaired their Foundation&#39;s Capital Advisory Committee and was Marketing Chairperson for TEAM Westport, the town&#39;s diversity commission.
