Bridgeport Security Guard Steals iPads from Westport Business

Westport police reports: Jan. 19-23.

  • Katlyne Lauture, 25, of Bridgeport, was charged Jan. 20 with third-degree larceny. officers responded to the Darien Police Department to pick up Lauture who had an arrest warrant for an incident that occurred in November, 2011 at Bridgewater Associates where she was employed as a security guard. She was observed on camera taking an iPad out of an employee’s desk and leaving the building. She was subsequently found to have taken two additional iPads and an exercise video set all valued at approx. $2,724. She posted a $10,000 bond for court Jan. 30.
  • Mark Juviler, 47, of 26 Park Lane, Westport, was charged Jan. 19 with disorderly conduct and attempt to commit second-degree larceny. A domestic dispute occurred whereby Juviler forced his way into the house and attempted to steal his estranged wife’s purse. He was taken into custody. His bond was originally set at $2,500, but reduced to a promise to appear by the bail commissioner.
  • Ronald Marsilio Jr., 22 and Ronald Marsilio Sr., 62, both of 10 Bluff Point, Westport were charged Jan. 20 after officers responded to a domestic dispute between father and son. Marsilio Jr. was charged with threatening and disorderly conduct while his father was charged with interfering with an officer and disorderly conduct. When attempting to take the father in custody, he failed to comply with officers and was subsequently charged with interfering. The son was released on a promise to appear and the father was released after posting a $15,000 bond.
  • Donald Hazzard, 31, of Wilton, was charged Jan. 21 with DUI and failure to drive right. Officers responded to the area of Cumberland Farms where a female had called and stated she was with an intoxicated male and was concerned about his level of impairment. Before officers arrived, the male had left the area driving a Dodge Durango. He was subsequently stopped and officers could smell alcohol on his breath. He was unsteady on his feet, had glassy eyes, and slurred speech. He failed the field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. He refused to take the breath test. His bond was set at $500, but was reduced to a promise to appear by the bail commissioner.
