Canicatti said he initially relocated because owner Carmelo Mioli acquired the Post Road property with plans to move his business to that location. Since then Mioli has decided to stay at his 107 Main Street location and has put the 143 Post Road East Location up for lease.

The new location neighbors Luxe Modern Wine and Cocktails, and , and is ‘BYOB.’ Guests are encouraged to bring their own wine and alcoholic beverages.

“Customers are much happier with that,” Canicatti said. “They get a $12 bottle of wine, we bring them some glasses –- they love it!”

Canicatti said the new location makes it easier for customers to come and go, while the old restaurant, which opened in 2006, was much more difficult to access.

“On the Post Road you’ve got cars zipping by,” he said. “It’s very hard to pull over. People give up.”

Although offsetting the construction costs will make things a little difficult for a while, Canicatti believes the business will be more successful at its new location. He said he could not be happier being in a brand new facility on Main Street.
