Westport police officers responded to the intersection of Sherwood Island Connector and Post Road East on a report of a person sleeping in a stopped vehicle early Saturday morning, according to an arrest report.
The officers found 34-year-old Moises Bonilla, of Bridgeport, asleep with his safety belt on. The keys were in the ignition and the engine was idling while the vehicle was still in gear, police said.
"When Bonilla woke up, his speech was slurred and the officer could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath," the police report stated.
