Man Admits to Committing Multiple Westport Burglaries

A Newtown man was arrested by Monroe police and turned over to Westport police after he reportedly admitted to committing multiple burglaries in town.

 

The suspect turned himself into the Westport Police Department on two active arrest warrants regarding burglaries that he allegedly committed in town, police said.

Westport police charged 30-year-old Eammon Donnelly, of Newtown, with third-degree burglary, second-degree burglary, third-degree larceny and sixth degree larceny on November 5, according to a police report.

When Donnelly was arrested by the Monroe Police Department for alleged  burglaries he committed in Newtown, he told officers that he committed two burglaries in Westport as well, police said. 

He posted two $5,000 bonds and was released. He is due in Norwalk Superior Court on November 15.
