Westport police charged Angelo Younger Monday with first-degree forgery and sixth-degree larceny.
He was arrested outside of the Norwalk Superior Court on a warrant that was issued after he allegedly stole three checks from a woman at the Gillespie Center, police said.
He proceeded to forge and cashed them, according to the police report.
Younger was unable to post bond. He was transported to Norwalk Superior Court for arraignment Tuesday morning.
