Norwalk Man Tased, Found With Marijuana

The man was transported to Norwalk Hospital in order to have the taser prong removed from his head. He was left with a small abrasion, police said.

 

At about 9 p.m. Tuesday Norwalk police initiated a traffic stop and immediately detected the smell of marijuana coming from within the vehicle, police said.

When the driver, identified as 27-year-old Edgar Garrido, of Norwalk, was asked to step out of the vehicle, he refused to comply with the officer’s orders. The officer eventually tased the man, at which point he cooperated, police said.

Garrido was charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana. He is due in State Superior Court in Norwalk on April 5.
