Police Charge Man for Attempted Robbery Outside Westport CVS

Security tapes from the CVS store had captured the suspect entering the store.

The Detective Bureau arrested Brendan S. Kravarik, 20, of Danbury, in Norwalk Superior Court Monday and charged him with second-degree criminal attempt at robbery and sixth-degree criminal attempt at larceny. Kravarik was unable to post $50,000 bond and will be held until his April 12 court date.

On January 23 at about 7:15 p.m. a female Weston resident was exiting the store when  and dragged her a short distance, police said. The victim began screaming and the suspect let go of the handbag and entered a vehicle leaving the scene, according to the police report.

In the course of the investigation by the Westport Police Department Detective Bureau, they developed information on a suspect. On February 27 an arrest warrant was secured for Kravarik.
