Truck Flames Up in Westport

Firefighters used a pre-connected hose line to extinguish the blaze.

 

Westport Fire Department responded to a reported truck fire on Lee’s Lane at about 3 p.m. Friday.

Arriving units found a pickup truck engulfed in flames and Firefighters used a pre-connected hose line to extinguish the blaze, according to a report from the Westport Fire Department.

A fire inspector was called to the scene to investigate and Westport police also responded to the scene. There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Westport Fire Marshal’s Office. The last fire unit left the scene at about 3:45 p.m.
