Stratford Woman Allegedly Steals Westport Doctor’s Prescription Pad for Drugs

Westport police reports: March 29 – April 2.

  • Onilda Lopez, 35 of Stratford, was charged March 31 with sixth-degree larceny and possession of a controlled substance. This was an investigation into the alleged theft of prescription pads from a doctor’s office in Westport. The doctor’s office received a phone call from a CVS Pharmacy in Wethersfield inquiring about the written scripts, which were confirmed by the doctor’s office as forged, police said. During the investigation it was learned that Onilda, who was formally employed there, had stolen the script pads and forged them. Onilda was taken into custody in Milford and transported to where she was processed without incident. She posted a $10,000 bond and is due in Norwalk Superior Court April 9.
  • Carlos Arbulu, 29 of 183 Roseville Road, Westport, was charged March 30 with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree criminal mischief. Officers responded to Cumberland Farms on Post Road East after a taxi driver was reportedly having problems with a customer, police said. Officers learned that the suspect, Arbulu, was given a taxi ride from New York to his residence in Westport. When the taxi cab driver requested payment, Arbulu allegedly became agitated and began swinging his keys at him in a threatening manner striking the taxi window shattering it, police said. Arbulu posted $500.00 bond and is due in Norwalk Superior Court April 9.
  • Jacquette Harris, 35, of Norwalk, was charged March 31 with criminal impersonation, possession of a controlled substance, insurance coverage fails minimum requirements, illegal operation under suspension, misuse of plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, and possession of abandoned markers. Harris was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on the I-95 exit 18 on ramp in Westport. In speaking with the operator, Harris, the officer detected an odor of marijuana in the vehicle, police said. Harris had initially provided the officer with her sister’s name fearing that she had outstanding warrants for her arrest. During the motor vehicle stop it was learned that the license plates did not belong on the vehicle and Harris’s operator’s license was suspended. Located in the vehicle was a small amount of marijuana and a prescription pill (Xanax), which was not prescribed to her, police said. Harris was processed without incident and released after posting $1000 bond.
  • Jelani Lemon, 20 of Bridgeport was charged March 29 with second-degree failure to appear after he went to the Westport Police Department to turn himself in on a warrant that stems from a motor vehicle arrest in Fairfield.
