Westport Police Arrest Alleged Thief, Again

The woman stole merchandise from multiple Coach stores, police said.

 

Stamford police informed that they were holding a woman that had two active arrest warrants for failing to appear in court for incidents that occurred at the Coach stores in Stamford and Westport in 2002, police said.

The suspect and an accomplice allegedly stole over $1,000 worth of merchandise from the Stamford store, but were caught in Westport as they were leaving the Westport store later that day, according to police.

Police identified 36-year-old Tamika Davis as the one that had stolen merchandise from the Westport store on three other occasions. The stolen merchandise from the Stamford store was found in the vehicle Davis was travelling in, police said.

Westport police charged Davis, of Buffalo, with first-degree failure to appear and second-degree failure to appear. She was released without bond and is due in court September 13.
