Westport police responded Thursday to the New Haven Police Department where 31-year-old Shawron Crockett, of New Haven, was being held on an arrest warrant from the Westport Police Department, according to an arrest report.
Crockett registered a Westport address in July with the State Police Sexual Offender Registry Unit, but police were unable to verify the address, according to the report.
An arrest warrant was applied for and granted. Shawron was charged with failure to register (non-violent offense/offence against a minor), police said.
He was held on a $10,000 bond and arraigned in Norwalk Superior Court Thursday morning.
